I think the challenge for you will be getting access to the clubs in which you want to photograph. Be sure, when you get someone on the phone, to additionally explore the option of connecting with employees who may be willing to share their story outside of the club doors.
In terms of the song essay, I'd like to see a more thorough consideration of the intended illustration for each song/theme.
